Wix development
When the standard feature stops short, we build the missing piece. Custom workflows, CMS systems, integrations, and Headless experiences shaped around the way your business actually operates.

Where are you starting?
Choose the closest fit. We’ll work out the details together.
Build around the real sequence.
Map what a visitor or team member needs to do, what information they need, and what should happen next. Then build the interface and logic that make that sequence work.
The work can include
- Workflow and permissions
- CMS and custom interface
- Validation and useful feedback

How we work together
There is usually a point where a standard website feature stops short of the real requirement. A therapist needs to manage recurring availability. A customer needs to check whether an address is eligible for service. A team needs a portal that follows the way it quotes and approves work. Those are development problems, and they are some of our favorite projects. Digital by DG builds custom functionality with Wix CMS, Velo, integrations, and Wix Headless. We can take on a complete build or work on a defined part of a site your team already manages.
A workaround can keep a project moving for a while. Then the spreadsheet grows, the manual email becomes a daily task, or one small content change breaks a connection somewhere else. Adding more software is not always the answer. The first step is understanding the actual workflow: who uses it, which information they need, what they are allowed to change, and what must happen next. A useful custom feature makes that sequence clear and dependable.
We turn the requirement into a working flow before writing around it. That includes the data model, visitor and team permissions, validation, external systems, and failure states. From there we choose the least complicated approach that can do the job well. Some projects fit naturally inside Wix Studio with Velo. Others benefit from a custom Headless frontend connected to Wix content and business systems. The decision follows the project. We build and test the important actions, keep sensitive operations on the appropriate server side, and give users clear feedback when something succeeds or needs attention. Documentation focuses on what the owner needs to operate and maintain the feature. When we join an existing build, we define the boundary of our work so everyone knows which parts we are changing and who owns the surrounding system.
What can be included
The final scope depends on the project. The work can include:
- Workflow planning and CMS data architecture
- Custom Velo functionality and reusable components
- Wix Headless frontends and dynamic content pages
- Member, staff, client, and dealer portal functionality
- Form routing, notifications, uploads, and automations
- Third-party API integrations and business system connections
- Permissions, validation, useful error states, and handoff notes
A few practical questions.
Can you help with a site another developer built?
Yes. We first review the relevant structure, code, and access. A clear brief and a defined area of responsibility help us make the change safely and give you a realistic scope.
Should my website be Headless?
Headless is a choice about how the frontend is built and maintained. It can make sense for a highly custom interface or application. Wix Studio remains a strong fit when visual editor control is central to the team's daily work.
Can Wix connect to our existing system?
Often, but the answer depends on that system's API, authentication, permissions, and the actions it supports. We verify those requirements before promising an integration.
